The story of PizzaExpress originated from its founder Peter Boizot. He loved pizza very much since he was a child, and when he grew up, he loves traveling and food. Peter Boizot is determined to bring delicious Italian pizza back to the UK.
In 1965, he opened his first PizzaExpress store on Wardour Street (now famous Chinatown) in central London. PizzaExpress continues to grow and develop, and now has more than 500 stores around the world, becoming the UK’s largest and most well-known casual catering company among consumers.
Because of the love of art, every restaurant in PizzaExpress has been carefully designed, using high-quality natural materials to create timeless and practical designs. The open kitchen, like a gorgeous stage, becomes the focus of tasters.
The design of all PizzaExpress restaurants includes a major element, but at the same time, designers are encouraged to add a unique style to each restaurant. The meticulousness in food production and environmental design makes the leisure of diners to enjoy food leisurely in the restaurant, and they are often infected by the ubiquitous inspiration in their environment.
PizzaExpress selects 15W LED AR111 series light source and supporting lamps as the main lighting for all restaurants in China.
The soft light effects create an ideal dining atmosphere. The lamps and lanterns perfectly integrated with the restaurant design also show the designer’s style vividly.
